Oh hey there.

so glad you’re here

I’m Liana - a wife to my husband Ben and a mom to Clark, Ruby and pup, Zoila.

I’ve been a hairstylist since 2003 and have loved every minute of it. My journey began in Kansas City where I started developing my craft while owning an exclusive Bumble and Bumble Salon. Eager to learn more, I’ve taken my talents across the country from San Francisco to Boston, where I learned the art of hair painting from some of the best in the industry.

I’ve landed in Portland, Maine where I love learning and working with other creatives who inspire me everyday.

...but so is sourdough bread.

When I’m not working I can be found spending time with my family, baking sourdough bread and cooking in the kitchen.

i love
plants, yoga & popcorn.

After a long day at the salon I’ll have what my husband and I call a snack night. Popcorn, cheese and an apple. It’s the best! I also love tending to my plants and practicing yoga to stay centered.

favorite
product

Olaplex all the way!
I have seen clients’ hair transform after using Olaplex #4 and #5. It can noticeably transform damaged hair by repairing broken bonds to create strong healthy locks.

Their entire line is incredible but a great starting point is the shampoo and conditioner (#4 and #5). It’s important to me to support product lines that ethically align with my values and Olaplex does exactly that.

daily
routine

Having two kids makes it difficult to wash and style my hair in the mornings so I wash and air dry at night. I use Olaplex 4 and 5, towel-dry then apply Olaplex #6 and #7.

In the morning I’ll use any hot tools necessary to straighten out any kinks or add wave.

hair tip

Using appropriate professional hair products is everything!
Taking the proper steps and maintaining a nourishing hair regimen keeps your hair healthy and hydrated even if you're using hot tools and lightening/coloring.

A solid foundation of moisturizing hair products is essential as well as maintenance trims.

who inspired my career

I knew as a young girl that I wanted to be a hairstylist. My Aunt is a hairstylist and I’ve always looked up to her. I remember looking forward to her kitchen cuts when she’d come to visit and thinking she had the coolest career.

favorite part of my job

I love so many aspects of my job. Not only because I get to be creative and make people feel good all day long, but because I get to build relationships with some incredible humans.

I’ve learned a lot about myself and others working behind the chair and have made lifelong friendships.

I’m forever grateful for that.
